Installer / Service Technician
Chimney Specialists is seeking a Fireplace Installer/Technician. This position requires a motivated individual with critical thinking skills. Preferred candidates will have a background in construction or related fields. Prior experience is preferred, not required Chimney Specialists, Inc. provides training, education, and certifications. Skills & Requirements
• 3 years of experience in related field (preferred)
• Valid state-issued driver's license (required)
• General construction and tool knowledge for framing, finish carpentry, sheetrock and taping
• Basic plumbing and gas line knowledge
• General understanding of electrical work
• Ability to read contracts, interpret contract specification and instructions manuals, and follow directions
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively with others
• Strong integrity and ethics
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and design
• Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times

Responsibilities
• The ability to work with an installation crew and finish the project as scheduled
• Handle heights daily, ladder and roof work
• Install basic rough framing using wood or metal studs
• Install finishes around installed fireplaces with attention to detail and finish work
• Work independently and/or with direct-vent gas, wood and pellet units
• Understand venting and chimney requirements, clearances and other specifics for each unit configuration
• Carry heavy equipment onto job site manually or using necessary equipment as applicable
• Extend gas lines
• Ongoing learning and betterment on industry trends and product offering changes

Office Assistant

Certifications: Not required, encouraged.
Position hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Primary location is in our Highland, WI office with a rotation to our Dubuque, IA location periodically. Weekend rotation is required with this position from September 1st through December 31sr at our Dubuque location. This position will also fill in as needed at our Dubuque location, when necessary, throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience in office management with knowledge in basic office procedures and Word and Excel training, Customer service skills are required. A low key and calm demeanor are preferred for this position. Time management and organization is key to the scheduling position, these skills are required. Construction experience is preferred.

• Accommodate scheduling updates and changes

• Prepares, plans, and schedules for installation and service projects
• Pulling permits when it is required
• Scheduling equipment for projects when necessary
• Daily service invoicing
• Upload service documentation and pictures for service staff
• Invoice daily paperwork
• Maintain showroom sales aids
• Manage office cell phone, voicemails, and email inquires
• Maintain sales estimates for salesman
• Maintain brochure stock for showroom floors
